Car Insurance BMW (Car Insurance). What could cause a car to not want to pull out when put in drive?

What could cause a car to not want to pull out when put in drive? when I start the car and put it in drive it slowly pulls out.....if I shift down to 1st(it's an automatic) it seems to do better and once I'm driving on the freeway it pulls fine...it's just pulling out from a complete stop...what could be the cause of this?

Three possibilities why you need to manually select 1st gear. What is happening is in the normal shift mode (D) the transmission is not downshifting into 1st. Why?: 1) low fluid or burned fluid 2) main hydraulic pump is failing 3) valve body failure Low transmission fluid, or worn bands / clutch packs. Seeing that its a automatic the gearbox may have go or one of the components to do with the gearbox may have gone.

Any mechanics out there? I have an Pontiac Transport 1997 I had the motor replaced in Jan and it is now broke down again, The van came back with a bad harmonic balancer and a spark knock that the mechanic refused to fix, Well after tryn to save up and take it else where to have it fixed i drove it ofcouse to work and back... Yesterday i was on the highway and passed someone for the first time and it lost its power and has a loud noise to it. There is nothing leaking and no over heating nothing coming out of the exhaust. When its in Neutral the noise isnt there. It can still be driven but has to be babied big time. What could this be? Did i blow the motor again? I have only put 3k miles on it since the used motor was put in. He put in a Impala 02 motor. Someone told me it may be a oil pump and that the oil pump is bad. Idk would the harmonic balancer do this to it? car insurance.

BMW . How to Install Rear Speakers in a Santa Fe

If you want to improve the sound of your Hyundai Sante Fe's stereo system, start with the speakers. Like most vehicles, the stock speakers in your Sante Fe are not of a particularly high quality, especially when measured against the sound quality you'll get with high-performance aftermarket car speakers. If you haven't replaced car speakers before, you may be intimidated by the uncertainty of how you'll get to and remove the original speakers. But with the proper instructions, it's a job well-suited to the do-it-yourselfer.
Difficulty:Moderate
Instructions Things You'll Need
Phillips screwdriver
Socket set, 10mm socket, extension

Step by Step :
1
Fold down the rear seat in your Sante Fe. Empty any goods or gear out of the rear compartment, and then remove the cargo cover, cargo net, floor mat and carpet from the rear compartment.
2
Remove the two screws from the rear scuff plate where the rear hatch closes, using a Phillips screwdriver. Pull up firmly or pry up the plate and remove it.
3
Use a 10 mm socket, ratchet and extension to take out the 10 mm bolts that hold each of the cargo net anchors in place. Remove the cargo net anchors after you've taken out the bolts.
4
Remove the cover over the rear side compartment by first prying out the three push pins holding it place. Pry under the push pins to pop them out.
5
Pull the rear hatch gasket, the rubber seal around the rear hatch, away from the edge of the rear right side panel. Then grasp the side panel and pull it away from the car body until it's far enough away that you can access the speaker.
6
Remove the four Phillips screws holding the speaker in place. Pull out the speaker, disconnect the wiring plug and remove it from the car.
7
Plug your new speaker into the wiring, insert it in the opening, and screw it in place. Test the speaker's operation by turning on the stereo. Reassemble the cargo area by reversing your steps.

BMW . Install Guide for Rear Brakes on a Ford Freestar

In 2003, Ford Motor Company introduced the Ford Freestar as the successor to the popular Ford Windstar minivan. Characterized with multiple styling upgrades, a variety of new storage options and sleeker body lines, the Freestar easily filled the void left by the Windstar. The Freestar, as with many Ford models introduced in the early 21st century, is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes.
Preparation
Before you dig into your rear brake job, make sure you have everything on hand you will need to complete the repair. This includes quality pads and rotors.
With automotive parts, you get what you pay for every time. Cheap pads wear faster, create far more brake dust and are prone to chatter. As the rotor moves across the pad face, the pad vibrates at a very high rate of speed. This vibration is known as chattering. Unless you are fond of a high-pitched squeal when stopping, avoid cheap pads that are prone to chattering and buy high-quality pads that meet OEM standards.
Cheap rotors are made with cheap steel. Cheap steel rotors not only wear out faster, they are far more susceptible to warpage than rotors of higher quality. There are places on your vehicle you may choose to skimp in order to save a few dollars, but doing so on your brakes can put you and your loved ones in a dangerous situation.
In addition to quality parts, make sure you have a good jack and jack stands, a socket set, brake clean, a drip pan and some white lithium grease on hand before you begin. It's also a good idea to wear safety glasses while working on brakes. A shot of brake clean in the eye, or worse, a sliver of metal, can make a relaxing day of auto repair turn into a trip to the emergency room.
Removal and Replacement
Clean the brakes thoroughly with brake clean before you take them apart. It is best to put a drain pan under the brakes to catch the drippings, which are a mixture of brake clean and brake dust. Let
that hit your garage floor, and you will have a permanent reminder of your rear brake job.
Once the brakes are clean, you can remove the brake caliper bolts with the socket wrench. In extreme cases, you might need a breaker bar to loosen the bolts, but if you have a long socket wrench and some reserve elbow grease, you should be able to get the bolts out without any further assistance.
The caliper slides up and away from the rotor, once the caliper bolts have been removed, you can slide the rotor off the spindle. Take the retaining clip off the back of the caliper to release the old pads, and then put it back on after you have installed the new ones. When you have the pads out, make sure to clean and lubricate the caliper slides, using brake clean and white lithium grease.
Slip the new rotor back onto the spindle and hold it in place by threading one lug nut onto a stud until it is hand tight. You can now slide the caliper back on and bolt it back in place. Take the lug nut back off, put the wheel back on and reinstall the lug nuts.

Because tires are heavy, you may have a little trouble lifting the spare into place — especially if you're not accustomed to lifting heavy things. If this is the case, a bit of ingenuity may help; see the sidebar "A little ingenuity goes a long way" for details. 5. After you have the spare tire in place, replace the lug nuts and tighten them by hand. Give each lug nut a jolt with the wrench to get it firmly into place, but wait until the car is on the ground before you really try to tighten the lug nuts. Remember, right-hand threaded nuts tighten in a clockwise direction; 132 Car Insurance hyundai sonata 2002 lxsedan4d 94515

don't want the wheel to fall off, either. Use your hollow pipe if you're worried about tightening them sufficiently, or step on the right-hand arm of the lug wrench after the nut is tight. 8. If your car has hubcaps, place the hubcap against the wheel and whack it into place with the heel of your hand. Cushion your-hand with a soft rag first so that you won't hurt it. And don't hit the hubcap with a wrench or hammer — you'll dent it. Whack it a couple of times, in a couple of places, to be sure that it's on evenly and securely. (Even secondhand hubcaps can cost from $20 to more than $100 apiece to replace.) If it's too much of a hassle, or if you don't have the time to replace the hubcap, you can take it home and install it later;
